My 2019 Notebook Challenge!

Planning And Organization

How many of you are like me and have a ton of beautiful (or at least functional) empty or partially-filled notebooks all around the house? I have been collecting gorgeous notebooks for years, and even though I always have the best of intentions, I’m often too scared to write in them for fear of messing them up!

I know it sounds silly, but I also know I’m not the only one who feels this way. As I was looking at my massive collection of stationery and notebooks, I realized that it was time for me to either use these up or start giving them away to people who will really enjoy them.

So, that’s where the idea for my 2019 Notebook Challenge came in! If you missed it, I did a video earlier this week showing off my massive notebook collection (Yes, I have more than 100 notebooks!).

How The Notebook Challenge Works

I am challenging myself–and any of you who are brave enough to join me–to fill an entire notebook every single month of 2019. By the end of the year, I’ll have 12 gorgeous, totally filled notebooks I can feel proud of completing and enjoying. Can you imagine how satisfying it will feel to finally fill up some of these notebooks we’ve had sitting around for years?

As a part of the challenge, I’ll also be giving away at least 1 notebook on my youtube channel, as well. That way, I’ll have used or given away at least 24 of my notebooks by the end of the year. If you have a massive stack like me, you might also consider doing something similar. If you don’t have a YouTube channel or social media platform to use, consider donating to a local teacher or school!

30+ Ideas On How To Fill Your Notebooks

My first giveaway starts today, along with my list of more than 30 ideas on how to use up your notebooks. Click over to watch and comment on YouTube if you want to be entered to win!

Will You Join Me?

Do you plan to join me in the 2019 Notebook Challenge? How do you plan to fill yours? Also, comment below or on the video if you have other ideas for ways to fill a notebook that I didn’t mention!

Also, if you just know you will never have time to fill an entire notebook in a month, feel free to modify the rules to fit your life! You can, instead, challenge yourself to fill three full notebooks next year or one every three months. Whatever works for you will count! The main thing is to have a few (or a stack) of filled up notebooks by the end of the year that fill us with satisfaction!

Also, if you aren’t a member of my email list, I’d love to have you join now. If you join through the form below, you’ll get a free download of my 2019 Writing Schedule Workbook. Check out my YouTube channel for the accompanying live workshop on how to set yourself up for a great writing year in 2019!

I’m all in. I have a book, The Great Work, which has a daily question to reflect on (one notebook). I am also plotting and planning and making notes on my series I am going to write in 2019 (or at least the first one and then the outlines for the other two), so more notebooks. I find I ‘think’ better when writing than when typing. But I could always use more notebooks!

In 2019, I am committed to reading books I already own … and using up journals and notebooks I already have. Glad to join you on this journey … and possibly, win one or two more journals. 🙂

Make a grocery shopping log notebook. Glue or staple receipts in a notebook, then you can go back and see how much you paid for food items and you can save money on specials. After while you will know lowest buy price to purchase sales..
Also, keep a Dr. appointment notebook. Write down every time you go to the Dr, and what you went for , what symptoms you had, what the Dr said, tests done.
