My Q2 HB90 Review and Q3 Goals

Planning And Organization

This is always one of my favorite times of year! It’s a brand new quarter, which means it’s time to review my Q2 goals and reset my kanban board for Q3.

One of the things I love most about quarterly planning is the chance to have a fresh start every 3 months. It’s a great way to get that “new year” feeling several times a year and ride that extra motivation!

Watch my Q2 Review and See my Q3 Goals

**Just a quick disclaimer that I mention at the start of the video. Sadly, my phone holder was messed up, which created a shaky camera recording. I tried my best to fix it after the fact, but stabilizers only made it look worse. Sorry for the quality, and I’ll have it fixed by the next time I do this kind of video, but for now, you might have a better experience watching this on a smaller screen like a phone!

What Worked in Q2

I changed things up a bit in Q2 to make sure I was being good to myself and managing my mental health. Here’s what worked for me:

  • I decided to only put one month of sticky notes/tasks up on the board at a time. This allowed me to feel like my tasks were super achievable while also getting the feeling of momentum. Once a goal was cleared, I added more tasks to the board.
  • I focused heavily on my routines and my mental health. Therapy, morning routines, journaling, walking. All of these things helped to support me during the past quarter, which allowed me to be more productive without stressing myself out.
  • I set super realistic goals. Instead of stretching myself to the limit in terms of my own expectations, I set goals that were really more about consistent effort, showing up, and growing by baby steps. This took some of the stress off of me and made my goals feel very achievable.
  • Finally, I asked for help when I needed it. Instead of taking it all on my own shoulders, I leaned on friends and my husband as much as possible, asking for help when I needed support.

My Q3 Goals

For Q3, my goals are largely staying the same as Q2. The main thing that’s changing is the numbers I’m trying to hit. If you want to see a detailed walkthrough of my new goals, watch the video linked above!

As usual, I’m setting one writing-related goal, a Heart Breathings-related goal, and a mental health and wellness goal. I’m finding this pattern of 3 goals with these three main points of focus works really well for me, so I want to keep it going.

This quarter, I’m hoping to write and publish another novel (Book 3 in my Eternal Sorrows Trilogy), run my Publish And Thrive Course, and lose 25 pounds. Those are some of my biggest projects, and I’m excited to get started!

I apologize again for the shakiness of the camera on this video. Sometimes, mistakes just can’t be helped. I’m working on a solution, so hopeful it won’t be something we’ll have to deal with in the future.

Have you set any goals for Q3? Let me know in the comments here or on YouTube! Have an amazing start to the second half of Q3!
